The examples given at the end of the sentence are "help with electronic government resources related to income taxes, law troubles, and retirement programs," and our goal is to EFFECTIVELY SET UP THOSE EXAMPLES.A) Decent, but the fact that's it's free does not provide a strong connection to the examples themselves. In addition, it's redundant because of the next line "they offer free resources...". B) Yes, free help with taxes and law troubles becomes more necessary in a bad economy, and hence the ideas are connected. C) Has no relation to the examples. D) Same as C. #18: A) Not a complete sentence.B) Yes. Despite the fact that there are few furnishings, the furnishings that remain are still true to the period. C) Not quite as good because a colon implies an explanation for the previous statement. D) "Whereas" is pretty close to working, but if you pay close attention you will see that it does not connect properly to the rest of the passage (it is missing the "their") #34: A) a practice is not a place. Thus we should not use a place-related preposition "at" to describe it. B) same as A. "From" is a place-related preposition.C) "A practice so that products are designed" does not make sense. D) "whereby" refers to the process of doing something. A practice is a process, so this is the best choice.
